Join both “Desert Traditions_01” and “Desert Traditions_03” together using a zigzag stitch, I used cotton thread for the zigzagging, then stitch over the zigzagged stitches using a satin stitch once again using cotton thread rather than the embroidery thread.

Cut out the wadding and backing fabric in the exact size of the wall hanging.

Pin the wadding and backing fabric to your wall hanging, stitch a zigzag stitch over the satin stitch border, wadding and backing fabric using cotton thread and then satin stitch over the zigzag stitch and once again using a cotton thread

Over the top of the satin stitched border stitch a triple stitch zigzag stitch from your decorative stitches in your sewing machine
